William K. ""Bill Roquemore

William K. ""Bill"" Roquemore, 88, of Baytown was born December 29, 1922 in Childress, TX and passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. He received a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He retired from Exxon with 38 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and taught the Harvester Sunday school class for over 45 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and volunteered for The Red Cross as a van driver. He was a member of the Baytown Masonic Lodge #1357, where he was a past Master and was awarded the Golden Trowel in 2003. He was a past Patron of the Cedar Bayou Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #11. He enjoyed bicycling, swimming, and spending time at his farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius Benjamin and Allye Grace Roquemore and brother, Cecil Roquemore. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathryn Barlow Roquemore; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kristine Roquemore and James and Leslie Roquemore; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Keith Logue; grandchildren, Kristina Stewart, Stephanie Roquemore, Kimberly and Kyle Logue, and Sarah, Brian, and Daniel Roquemore; and great grandchildren, Aidan and Hudson Stewart and Emma Logue.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services with Masonic services will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Yowell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.

His family would like to say a special ""thank you"" to the staff and doctors of the NICU at The Methodist Hospital and the staff of Odyssey Hospice.
