W.C. served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved baseball and played first base for the Humble Oilers in the mid 1950’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Mamie Dodd; sister, Kathy Dodd; and brother, William Dodd.
He is survived by daughter, Dysanna Greer of Baytown; son, Terry Dodd and wife Rhonda of Baytown, and Beth Dodd of Old River; brother, Jimmy Dodd and wife Martha of Marble Falls; sisters, Mary Maley and husband Ronnie of Moss Bluff, Joyce Vaag of Onalaska, and Stella Dodd of Ace; grandchildren, Candi Jones of Baytown, Jim Perio of Baytown, Amy Greer and husband Timothy Gindratt of Baytown, John Greer and wife Jennifer of Baytown, Nicole Ray and husband Beau of Old River, Lisa Meadors and husband Trey of Old River; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.
