William Ray Baker

William was married to Peggy Traylor for 47 years. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 22 years. He was a lifetime member Pioneers Club, Master Mason for 57 years, and a member of Masonic Lodge #595, Mount Hiram, Copperas Cove, TX #1442 Old River Lodge. He was Baptist and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Monroe Baker; mother, Amanda Kidd Baker; sisters, Mary Taylor, Wanda Alexander, and Faunda Nelson; brothers, James Elwood Baker, and Eldon (Son) Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Baker; children, Ken Baker and wife Lisa, Judy Montemagno and husband Allen, Glenn Baker, Donna Hartsell and husband Jay, Kelly Goff and husband David, and Jamie Reeves and husband Britain; brother-in-law, Jerry Traylor and wife Gwen; sisters-in-law, Audrey Hoover and husband Ron, and Francis Baker; 18 grandkids; 16 great-grandkids; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Traylor, David Traylor, Wesley Traylor, Doug Baker, Nicholas Baker, Ross Baker, and Chris Baker.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
