Wanda Ann Scarborough Walters passed peacefully on October 20th, 2022 at the age of 86. Wanda Ann was born on March 25th, 1936 in a small hospital in Mont Belvieu to Harry M. Scarborough and Lydia Mae Laird Scarborough.
Wanda was a wife 51 years, mother of 5 children, and younger sister to Virginia Malone. She was a graduate of Barbers Hill High School and a member of Peace Tabernacle Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Burl Walters; her sons Laird Ray Walters and Anthony “Tony” Paul Walters; her grandchildren Teri Jayne Anderson and Crystal Ann Walters Seratte.
She is survived by her children Robert Burl “Bob” Walters, Sandra Lee Bransford and husband Jesse, and Jeffrey Lynn Walters and partner Jessie; her Sister Virginia Malone; and nephew Roland “Roro” David Malone, Jr. She was so proud of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Melissa Cherry and husband Darrell, Hollie Rasberry and husband Brent, Jessica Carley and husband Preston, Laird Ray “Bubba” Walters, Jr. Great grand children: Toni Henscey and husband Colby were Maw’s caretakers for her last years and Toni was Maw’s pride and joy, Jade Cherry, Derrick Cherry, Drake Cherry, Kaela Petters and husband Matt, Joshua Rasberry, Brandon Rasberry, Michelle Rasberry, Katelyn Riddle and husband Bryce, Dalhia Carley, Hendrix Carley, Madden McDowell, Maui McDowell. Great great grandchildren: Laird Ray Walters III, Emma Cerda, Olivia Cerda, Blakely Henscey, Brynlee Henscey, and Ryker Petters, along with numerous other family and friends.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Darrell Cherry, Derrick Cherry, Brent Rasberry, Colby Henscey, Nathan Bruce, and Jessie Martinez.
A family viewing will be held for family only. Service and burial will be held graveside at 11am at the Palms Memorial Cemetery in Dayton.
