Also surviving him are his mother Ginger Rhea and his father Gregory Rhea, his brother Logan Rhea and his sister Kendyl Rhea. His beloved father in law and wife Jason and Lori Kaatz, brother in law Jake Kaatz. and his Maw Maw Doris Kaatz, Aunts and Uncles are Donnie and Tina Edwards, Douglas and Kim Edwards, Jeff and Robin Rhea and Bob and Tami Williams. Tyler has 6 surviving cousins Parker Rhea, Bryce Rhea, Elijah Williams and wife Hayley, Dylan Edwards, Kylie Edwards and Cooper Edwards. As for his extended family and friends, the list is endless. To mention every special relationship in Tyler’s life would be difficult to say the least.
Tyler was employed with Enterprise Products, Mont Belvieu, Texas where he had recently been promoted to shift supervisor. Tyler was so excited about his new opportunity and was looking forward to working less hours and spending more time with his family. Tyler loved his job and coworkers and was always sharing work stories. If you know Tyler, you know he loved to share stories. He could not have been more proud to be a part of Enterprise Products.
Tyler loved duck hunting, deer hunting, fishing, golf, baseball, football and so many other things. There is nothing he loved more than his family and friends. He loved fiercely and wholeheartedly. He lived every moment to the fullest. He packed 100 years’ worth of life into 28.
When Tyler met Kali, he found his soulmate and lifelong best friend. If you were ever around them, you could see it. He fell in love with her and everything about her especially Bransen and Copelan. They quickly became the most beautiful little blended family with Tyler and Sawyer. The best thing about Kali is she would listen to his endless stories and dreams and tolerate his never ending shenanigans while making sure to keep him grounded. He knew he had found his perfect match and he treasured her and fought for their future together. Pretty soon, the blended family of 5 became a family of 8 with the arrival of the triplets. There is no way to capture the love and pride Tyler felt for these little miracles he and Kali were blessed with. If you have crossed paths with him in the last few years, you have gotten an earful about their highly developed skills and talents at a mere 3 years old. Tyler was made to be a dad. He was simply the best. Everything he did involved the boys, working on their 7 acres, letting the boys drive the tractor, ride in the bucket, riding 4 wheelers, teaching them to golf, playing baseball, football, going to the deer lease, duck hunting…it goes on and on but he always had one or more of those boys with him. They were building a beautiful life filled with adventure and love.
Tyler was a precious little boy whose life was a masterpiece of laughter, love, and a fair amount of mischief. He grew into an incredible man, husband and father, but first he was a very special son and brother. Greg, Ginger, Logan and Kendyl will never fill the void he leaves. Tyler had his own special relationship with each one and was always there to cheer them on! One of his favorite pastimes was harassing his dad. They were very close, saw each other every day and Tyler was really good at giving him a hard time! Greg will mostly miss his frequent phone calls to talk about his next big plan for their property. Logan knows he had the best brother around. Tyler was Logan’s first friend and forever built in best friend. They didn’t have to talk everyday or spend every minute together for Logan to know that Tyler was always in his corner and would be there in an instant when needed. The most recent message Tyler sent to his sister was “That is freaking awesome, I am so proud of you. You are doing an awesome job at life!” She will cherish this forever. Tyler always made you feel like he loved you the most but their relationship was one for the books. Tyler was the first one Kendyl wanted to share her life events with.
Tyler will be deeply missed by many. Our world will never be the same. He touched a multitude of lives in his short life. He genuinely loved people and that is evident in the words shared by so many this week Tyler’s life was taken way too soon but he truly crammed a lifetime into those 28 years. We are comforted in knowing that Tyler loved Jesus, and heaven is a little more fun because Tyler is there. We know he’s getting the playlist ready to celebrate when each of his loved ones join him- but no need to rush. On behalf of the family, thank you to each of you for loving our Tyler . We hope you will carry on his legacy of generosity, love, and laughter in everything you do.
