He was born in Ville Platte, LA on September 26, 1944, after moving to Texas he began his life with his wife Carolyn some 50 years ago.
Travis was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and affectionately known as The Hallelujah Man by many. Travis loved to spend time with his family and his passions were his grandchildren and spreading the gospel. Travis attended ORT United Methodist Church and Channelview Church of Christ.
He was proceeded in death his parents, Leola and E.Y; brothers Ernest and Iriah; and sisters, Anne, Everly and Euline.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughters, Daysun and husband Joe, Stacy and husband Gerard, and Tracy and husband Clinton; grandchildren Jock, Hayden, Jonathan, Hannah, Coby, Gillian and Grant; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Flowers are welcome or donations can be made to American Cancer Society, St. James House, Faith Community Hospice or any charity of your choice in his honor.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm.
