Thomas Charles Busby, 74, of Baytown, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 in Baytown. He was born August 4, 1938 in Iuka, Mississippi to his late parents, Dozier Busby and Edith Hardin Busby and had lived in the Baytown area since 1971.
Mr. Busby retired from Exxon in 1995, as a mechanical supervisor, after many years of service. He was an avid bass fisherman, gardener and member of the National Rifle Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnny Busby and a sister, Linda Busby.
Survivors include his wife Geneva Busby; children, Bill Busby and his wife Rhonda, Jimmy Busby and his wife Dottie, Kim Peabody and her husband Brian, Karen Grimes and her husband Larry, Tracy Dunford and her husband Gary, Amy Spencer and her husband Brett and Matt Brock and his wife Jenna; grandchildren, Julie Grimes, Janna Butler, Amber Grimes, Heather Gonzalez, Lindsay Robeau, Ashley Busby, Jamie Edwards, Heather Busby, Brian Busby, David Miller, Amanda Miller, Daz Dunford, Patrick Dunford, Buddy Dunford, River Spencer, Gavin Spencer, Rowan Brock and Cora Brock; great-grandchildren, Matthew Edwards, Reese Busby, Jaymasen Butler, Lauren Moore, Olivia Robeau, Bailey Gonzalez and Brylee Dunford.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
