Susan was born on October 5, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to John Howard Jones and Shirley Conrad Jones. Susan was the fourth of five children, growing up in Medina, Tennessee. Susan was a tenacious and fiercely independent child who grew into a beautiful, strong, independent woman. She was closest with her younger brother, James David Jones. Susan would regale her daughter with stories of their misadventures and the bond they always shared. After high school, Susan put herself through Business College, and found a loving and extended family in Erby and Alma Bradfield.
Susan moved to Texas in her early 20s, where the Lord blessed her with her adopted family, the Biglers. At her family church, she met George Nickles Hudnall, and after a whirlwind romance, they were married on August 15, 1970. George and Susan built a wonderful life and family together in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Susan is survived by her husband and daughter.
Throughout her life, Susan had a passion for community service and charity work. She was a charter member of the West Chambers County Pilot Club and helped to establish their youth organization, the Anchor Club, at Barbers Hill High School. Through her work with the Pilot Club, Susan’s generous nature and tenacious spirit made her a cornerstone of the organization and a tireless volunteer forever improving her community and the lives of those around her.
Susan was a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan, never once wavering in her support and devotion. She loved the Houston Astros; and through her brother, James David, she became a huge golf fan. Susan was an avid Texas A&M supporter and a proud Aggie Mom.
Susan is survived by her beloved brothers, Edward Jones and James David Jones, her beautiful niece, Tamara Jones; and by her adored sister-in-law, Connie Hudnall. She is survived by her wonderful Hudnall family nieces and nephews: Judith, Grace, Jeff, Leona, Troy, Ty, Renee, Eleanor (Ellie), Charlie, and Shannon.
Susan is survived by the Bradfields: Rhonda Sanders, Brad Sanders, Matt Sanders, Miranda Sanders Cole, Sheila Smith, Branson Smith, Brennon Smith, Amy and Larry Rhodes, and Abbey Rhodes.
Susan is survived by her Bigler family: Priscilla (Prissy) Kearns, Brandon Kearns, Richard (Dicky) and Sharla Bigler, Brett Bigler, Bailey Bigler, Craig Bigler, Melody Bigler, Misty Faircloth, Mason Bigler
Lyndsay Schick, and Lori Bigler.
Susan is also survived by her amazing and treasured friends, whom she loved dearly: Kelly Dutton, Lynn Taylor, Betty Dutton, Johnnie Melton, and Judy Duncan.

Her beloved sisters-in-law, Linda Jones and Betty Jean Watts, Her Tennessee family, Erby and Alma Bradfield, Her adopted parents, Clyde and Jeanette Bigler, and her Hudnall family members, who embraced her as a sister and welcomed her from the very beginning with huge hugs and so much love.
Family and friends are invited to visitation that will be held from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. A service of remembrance will be held at 10 am, Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Navarre Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, TX.
