He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who will be greatly missed. Born on March 9, 1956 in Franklin, Louisiana, he lived most of his life in Baytown, Texas. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1974, Steve went onto Sam Houston State University where he received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In 1978, he began his career with Champion Paper as a lab technician for 21 years. Steve will be remembered by his sense of humor, his love for music, and his kindness for everyone around him.
He survived by his wife of 36 years Linda; his daughter, Linda Smith; his grandchildren, Courtney Ballard, Amber, Hunter, and Carson; his two great- grandsons, Brayden, and Logan; his mother Lucile, and siblings, Peggy Crawley, Mike Davis, and Ann Fickel. He was proceeded in death by his father, Herman Davis. The family will receive friends at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
