Sharon Wylie, 63, formerly of Baytown, passed away on April 8, 2013 in a Houston hospital. Sharon was born on March 27, 1950 in Houston. Sharon worked at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital for over 15 years, until declining health forced her to retire. In addition to being a wife and mother, Sharon never met a child that she didn't love. Numerous people called her grandma and she gladly filled that role in their lives. Sharon's willingness to help others continues even after her passing, as she donated her body to science.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Wylie, of Rye; sons, James, John and Seth Wylie, all of Baytown; daughter, Coutrney Wylie, also of Baytown; sisters and brother-in-law, Val and Patrick O'Conner of England and Annette Maxwell of Baytown; and grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Daniel and Lela and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Navarre Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow.
