Rosie M. Perez of Baytown, Texas entered God’s kingdom at the age of 66 on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She was born on October 30, 1956, to Ramon and Rosario Perez in Brownsville, Texas. Rosie graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She married Roy Rocha and had 3 children, Angela, Roy, and Chris. Rosie started her career with Goose Creek CISD and retired from Pasadena ISD. She loved the children she helped in the school system.
Rosie was a breast cancer survivor. She was the strongest, loving, and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Nothing made Rosie happier than seeing her family together. She loved spending time with her four granddaughters, Victoria, Genesis, Lacie, and Leticia. They were her pride and joy; she never missed a school function and was their #1 cheerleader.
Rosie was truly a beautiful, amazing woman whose impact will be forever held dearly in our hearts. She was a selfless lady whose passing left an irreparable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all who knew her.
Rosie was preceded in death by her mother Rosario G. Perez, grandparents, Francisco and Guadalupe Perez, and Manuela Garcia.
Rosie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Oscar Gonzalez, son, Roy P. Rocha, and son and daughter-in-law Chris and Erica Rocha, along with her granddaughters, Victoria Rocha, Genesis Martinez, Lacie Gonzalez, and Leticia Rocha. Rosie was also survived by her father, Ramon Perez Sr., brother, Ramon Perez, Jr., sisters, Teresa Hernandez, Carmen Perez, Elena Romero, Irene Coy, and nieces and nephews.
