Robert Deaton (Bob) Wright, 76, beloved husband of Billie Jean Wright for 35 years, passed away in New Braunfels, TX, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. After completing his schooling and serving honorably in the Army, he began his career in the oil fields and in the heavy equipment field around Houston. He later moved to Baytown, where he and Billie became members of Cedar Bayou Methodist Church. His hobbies were building race cars, restoring old antique cars and his workshop was always full of projects. Bob and Billie were long-time residents of Baytown before moving to New Braunfels to be closer to family.
His warm smile, firm handshake and great stories will be missed. He was a good man. Pawpaw, we will miss you.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Wright and son, Tommy Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Wright; daughters, Cindy Greenwood and husband John of Austin and Stacy Wright of Austin; Roxanne Ware and husband Richard of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Harris, Nelson and Anna of Austin, Amy of New Braunfels and Steve of Houston; brother, Wesley Wright of Pennsylvania; great grandchildren, Rylee-Kay of New Braunfels and India Taylor of Houston.
The family sends their heartfelt thanks to special caregivers through all these months at Sundance Rehab and Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at Earthman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedar Crest Cemetery.
