Robert Elijah Hooten passed from the earth on August 20, 2020. He was born in Plainview, TX on November 22, 1966 to Billie Trotter and Hubert E. Hooten. He grew up in West Texas. He was an avid fan of western movies and a family oriented Christian. He went on his first hunting and fishing trip at the age of 7 and has never stopped loving them. He was a hardworking man who worked in construction for his whole career and worked at Cajun Industries, LLC for the last years of his life. He met Brenda on November 21, 2014; they fell in love immediately. They were married one year later on November 21, 2015. His wife survives him, Brenda L. Hooten; her children, Brittney and Anthony; his son, Jay Hooten; nephew, Kurt Blanton; his niece, Mary B. Sires and her husband Brandon; their children, Rebecca, Jonathan, Samantha; his great-niece, Guinevere. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janie Blanton; his nephew and childhood friend Christopher T. Blanton; father-in-law and close fishing buddy John Sanchez.
