I assisted Mr. Bailey at the HOP plant for many years on plant maintenance and capital project side. He was truly a talented and a master of our plant and would help anyone who would work and wanted to better themselves.

He was the most dedicated man I've ever had the pleasure to work around.

Carolyn and family:  I am so sorry to hear of Richard's passing.  Although I haven't been able to keep in touch with old friends from the past, I am reminded of our trip to the Wurstfest in New Braunfels so many years ago (80's?) when we rented a Winnebago and you drove, as the rest of us hung out in the back.  Richard was so lively and fun; he kept us rolling in laughter.  That is how I remember him.  My heart goes out to you and the kids.  Prayers and hugs as you put him to rest.  May the God of all comfort hold you in His arms and give you His peace.  (I used to be Connie Cowen, but am now Connie Lattoz in case you don't recognize the name.)

Carolyn, Tera, Ricky and Earnest Ray and family, we want to extend to all of you our sincere condolences for the passing of Richard. We have known Richard since way back in school and have loved him always. He will truly be missed. We could recognize his voice or laugh any place. He always had a smile on his face and ready to laugh. He was a great man. We were so saddened to hear of his passing. There will be a big void where Richard was, he will truly be missed. We loved Richard, and love all his family. You are all in our prayers and we will all wait until we see him again. Love to you all.

Really sorry to learn of Richard's passing. My prayers are with his family. Worked with Richard at the old Mobil Houston Plant on the ship channel back in the early nineties. Great man and mentor. God speed

To The Richard Bailey Family,  Richard had a lot to do with how I work today.  When I started out at the HOP plant and started to learn from Richard is how I am now when I work.  I don't think anyone ever knew this but I named my son Christain Bailey Armstrong after Richard.  Richard was a kind and good man!  Really enjoyed working and knowing him.  There are so many Richard Bailey sayings I learned while working with Richard.  He will be missed!

Richard had a way with words like no other. I will never forget him calling bingo at the company picnics or giving his little speeches.  One of his favorite sayings to me was; Oh, I'm impressed!  Then he would laugh like always and see what else I could say to keep him smiling.  He truly was one of a kind.  We are very sorry for his passing but will remember his kindness always.

So sorry for y'all's loss, Richard was a great guy. Wish I could be there.
