Paul Otto Kupec

Paul Kupec passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, May 25, 2011 at the age of 88 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Donisse Downing Kupec, his daughter Marijane Mosley and her husband Danny, and grandson David R. Ellis, Jr. and his wife Patricia. He is also survived by many friends and relatives.

Paul was born in West, Texas and raised in the Houston Heights. He was a veteran of WWII and a proud graduate of Rice University. He married Donisse in 1954 and they made their home in Baytown, TX. His entire working career was spent with Houston Lighting and Power from which he retired in 1987.

Paul was an optimistic, generous man and a confirmed Christian. He made new friends easily and cherished the ones from the past.

He deeply loved his family and provided for them in the old school manner.

In short, Paul was a good man in every sense of that word and he was blessed with a wonderful family and a good life.

He is now with Jesus but we will see him again at that great reunion of believers. In the mean time, he will be missed and long remembered.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Koslovsky and Rev. Joseph Polasek officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bo Ellis, Danny Mosley, Dana Davis, Wesley Gregersen, John Wesley Davis, and Joshua Mosley. Honorary pallbearers will be O. E. Downing, Jr., Bubba Downing, Dennis Kupec, Ed Gregersen, Benny Franco, Keith Kupec, and Greg Kupec.
