Paul Wayland Ash

Paul Wayland Ash, age 85, of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023. Paul was born to Herman and Ruth Ash on September 29, 1938, in Baytown, Texas. Paul graduated from Lee High School in 1957 and was a dedicated small business owner in the home construction and remodeling company A&I Construction, managing and owning rental properties in Baytown and the owner and operator of the KL&P convenience store on Alexander Drive. Paul enjoyed hobbies such as small aircraft piloting, fishing, woodworking, and talking to people.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth, his father, Herman, and sister Marilyn Wilson. Paul is survived by his step-daughter, M’Lynn Mckeethan of Taylor, Texas, step-son, Michael Gilbert of Baytown, Texas, son Paul Ash of Baytown, Texas, son John Ash of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, grandchildren Meagan Ash of Tucson, Arizona, and Neil Ash of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and step-grandchild Crystal Powers of Waco, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel. A private family graveside will take place at Cedarcrest Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.
