Norma Irene Chavez, age 59, of Baytown, Texas passed away on September 14, 2022. Norma was born on June 8, 1963 in Texas City, Texas to Alicia and Jesus Garza. She worked for over four decades building her work history at Pancho's Mexican Buffet, Hampton Inn, and office / clerical in several refineries.
Norma was married to Arnoldo Chavez. Together they raised their three daughters. Norma loved her family and always wanted to do her best for them. Norma always made everyone around her smile and laugh. She made sure her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren got plenty of attention. She also loved watching a good Sci-Fi documentary from time to time. Norma especially loved her pets, Jackson (aka "Preciosa") her cat and Mateo her German Shepard. She was passionate about taking care of them.
Norma is preceded in death by her father Jesus Maria Garza and her grandparents Juan and Maria Rios. She is survived by her husband Arnoldo Chavez; daughters Veronica Tovar, Jessica Marie Chavez, and Norma Alicia Garza; her mother Alicia Garza; her sisters Nelda Susana Munoz and Rebecca Garza; grandchildren Cassandra Irene Chavez, Joshua Tovar, Zachary Arnoldo Chavez, Daniela Leonor Tovar, Makayla Marie Gonzalez; great grandchildren Cameron Joseph Chavez, Elijah Arnoldo Chavez; nieces and nephews Nelda Guadalupe Roman, Rigoberto Munoz, Catherine Cecilia Sanchez, Santiago Jesus Sanchez, Ayanna T. Ibarra, Gabriel Ibarra, Rolando Ibarra, Sofia Roman, Mia Roman, and Aria Roman.
