Nina Mae McBride

Nina Mae (Lee) McBride, age 85, born on March 3, 1932 in Goose Creek, Texas. She passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 6:35 am, at the St. James House in Baytown, Texas. She was the daughter of Sid and Jeffie Lee. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1950. She was employed at Ross S. Sterling High School as a secretary, from 1970-1984. Nina enjoyed reading, shopping, traveling and visiting with family and friends. She was a faithful member of the St. John’s United Methodist Church. Nina married on May 26, 1950, to the love of her life, Bill McBride for 59 years.

She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law’s, Teri and Chris Litras and Susan and Jeff Weger, her sister Lillian Gardner; her four grandchildren and their spouses; Eric and Lisa Litras, Jamie and Jason Stanbery, Travis and Suzie Litras, Seth and Chelsey Carpenter; and her seven great-grandchildren; Evan and Landon Litras, Lawson and Drew Stanbery, Owen and Addison Litras and Logan Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her parents Sid and Jeffie Lee, her husband Bill McBride and her brother John Lee.

Serving as pallbearers are, Seth Carpenter, Travis Litras, Eric Litras, Jason Stanbery, Bobby Lee, and Mark Lee. Honorary pallbearer, Jack Gardner.

Her family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am, with the funeral services at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John’s United Methodist Church, 501 S. Alexander Dr. Baytown, Texas 77520.
