Nancy Elizabeth Ciavaglia was born on May 21, 1940, in Texas City, Texas. She shared her life with her husband, Gilbert Ciavaglia from the tender age of 14 years old, until his death in 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Larkin and Birdie Warren, her brother Larkin Warren, Jr. and wife Kay, Roland and Jerry Warren, and her sister, Lura Nell Pillow and husband, William. She is survived by sisters-in law, Rita and Lynda Warren, numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. She had no children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews immensely.
Some of her favorite things were horses, good movies, daisies, fried shrimp and friendly dogs. Her favorite colors were orange and green. She loved listening to the Eagles, Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. She loved to travel and went overseas several times.
She was a woman of grace and mercy. She believed in turning the other cheek. She always tried to see the best in others, especially her family, who she loved with all her heart. She was tender-hearted and trustworthy. She kept mostly to herself, but also loved the company of friends and family. If you were to ask her nieces and nephews, most would say she was their favorite.
Nancy passed away on Tuesday, October 29th after suffering with Alzheimer’s for many years. We are thankful that GOD called her home where she can now rest in peace.
