Mason Leon Ferguson, age 15, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday night, May 30th, 2018, at his home and surrounded by his family. Mason was born on February 27th, 2003 in Baytown Texas to Joyce Couch and Donnie Ferguson.
Mason was the founder of the #MasonStrong team and a philanthropist raising money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. He enjoyed to laugh, pick on his brothers, and always had a smile on his face. He played all the sports - football, baseball, basketball, soccer and martial arts - and was able to attend games for the Houston Texans and Astros. He enjoyed watching his favorite Carolina Panthers on the big screen. He loved outdoor activities including camping, fishing, jeeping, martial arts, and the beach. He identified with the humor in the movie Deadpool. According to his own fictitious Facebook information, he attended Central Texas Commercial College and worked on Wall Street as a journalist. Mason enjoyed traveling and visiting Costa Rica, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld San Diego, and Six Flags Dallas.
Mason is survived by his mother Joyce Myers of Baytown, Texas and father Donnie Ferguson of Hankamer, Texas; his bonus dads Trace Myers and David Compagnari and his bonus mom, Jerry ""Sissy"" Beck; his brothers Taylor Ferguson and Brennen Myers, and his sister Alyssa Ferguson and bonus sister Pantera Tucker; his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, cousins and a vast group of friends.
Mason was preceded in death by his brother Jacob Ferguson and Grampi Jimmy Couch.
Viewing will be held from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018, with funeral services held Monday at 2 PM at the Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr. Baytown, TX. 77521.
