Mary E. Mims, 87, of Baytown was born February 17, 1922 in Alachua, FL and passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 in Houston. She was a nurse and retired from the Crosby School District. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and then St. John's United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Gina Mims of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Dwayne Smith of Crosby; cousin, Willard Dell of High Springs, FL; and grandchildren, Emily Faye Mims and Christopher Mims.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Spring Hill Methodist Cemetery in High Springs, FL.
