Marian Elaine Hanggee Nadler was called to heaven by her Lord and Savior on August 5, 2016, in Crosby, TX. Marian was born on July 24, 1930 in Drayton Plains, MI to Helen and J. Warren Hanggee. She had one brother and three children. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Paul Warren Nadler; her daughter, Susan Elaine Nadler Bowers; her father, J. Warren Hanggee; and her brother, Jay W. Hanggee.
She is survived by her mother, Helen E. Hanggee of Crosby, TX; her son, Steven Nadler and his wife Brenda of Mansfield, OH; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Chuck Thompson of Crosby, TX; her grandchildren, Jennifer O’Brien and fiancé Rob Gaston, of Minneapolis, MN, Krista O’Brien of Chicago, IL, Christopher Nadler and wife Beth of Mansfield, OH, Brenton Nadler and fiancé Cortney Rogers of Fairborn, OH, and Nicholas Nadler and girlfriend Stephanie Imes of Charlotte, NC; her great-granddaughter, Harper Nadler of Mansfield, OH; her great-grandson, Cayden Gaston of Minneapolis, MN; nieces, Kathy Abernathy and husband Steven of Pflugerville, TX, and Cheryl Nadler Danforth and husband John of Dallas, TX; nephews, Matthew Hanggee and fiancé Katherin Cope of Cedar Park, TX, James Hanggee of Pflugerville, TX, Tim Hanggee of Crosby, TX, Rick Nadler and wife Donna of Gray Summit, MO, and John Nadler and wife Ann of Columbia, MO; and cousin, Elsie Harston and husband Al of Madisonville, KY.
Before settling in Crosby, Marian resided in Atlantic, Iowa, Exira, Iowa, Columbus, Ohio and Cherokee Village, Arkansas where she brightened the lives of those she met. Her faith was an important part of her life as she allowed God to direct her life and interactions. One of her favorite mottos was “Let Go and Let God”. She was active in the Ascension Lutheran Church in Columbus, OH and while living in Cherokee Village, she was active in the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church. She was also an active member of the Cherokee Village Lions Club, Red Hatters, TOPS, and the community chorus. When she moved to Crosby, she was immediately welcomed into the church family at Crosby United Methodist Church, Crosby Lions Club, TOPS, and the Crosby United Methodist Women.
Marian enjoyed traveling with her mother, sister-in-law, and brother-In-law seeing places like Niagara Falls, Germany, Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, and many other places. She loved her family and was at every family function she could attend.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the home health care given to Marian by Brenda Farmer and her outstanding group and by Kindred Hospice.
