Maria Idalia Galvan

Maria Idalia “Yaya” Galvan went to be with the Lord on December 3,2015. She was 43. Yaya was born in Mexico July 24th 1972, and resided in Baytown, TX. She married Jeremiah Lloyd Galvan on July 28th 1990. Together they had 3 children and now have 3 grandchildren. For the last 15 years Yaya worked as an optician at the Vision Center in Walmart. She dedicated her remaining time to ministering and leading lives to the Lord. Yaya was a passionate praise and worship team member at Word of Life Ministries. She was loved by all and was such a blessing to all.

Yaya enjoyed crocheting, cooking for others, preaching, taking selfies, and bringing smiles and laughter to everyone she met. She was a member of Word of Life Ministries.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarahi Avendano De Garcia; father, Basillio Garcia Hernandez; older brother, Ruben Elud Puldo Avendano; and youngest brother, Omar Eli Garcia Avendano.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremiah Lloyd Galvan; daughter, Linda Sarahi Galvan; sons, Ruben Elias Galvan, and Jeremiah Eliseo Galvan; daughter-in-law, Bianca Galvan; grandchildren, Jeremy Aiden Navejas, Joshua James Galvan and Alina Sarahi Galvan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremiah Eliseo Galvan III, Ruben Elias Galvan, Austin Tesar, Nick Perez, David Navejas and Junior Godfrey. Honorary pallbearers will be Basilio Garcia Avendaño, Juan Gamez, Braden Ambrati, Felix Munoz, Jr., and Llyod Galvan.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Earthman Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 10:00am at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
