Maria was born to Jose NegreteRubio and Carmen Herrera-Salcedo on June 11, 1941, in El Volantin, Jalisco. She married Anarbol Amezcua in June 28th,1965 and they lived together for 58 years in Tizapan and Baytown, Texas. Together they raised 11 children.
She is survived by: her husband Anarbol Amezcua. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her children Maria Garcia, Leticia Barragan, Daniel Amezcua, Norma Arevalo, Jose Amezcua, Marta Amezcua, Monica Garcia, Carmen Amezcua, Maria de Jesus Amezcua, Rosa Veliz, and Iveth Amezcua.
She was preceded in death by parents Jose Negrete, Carmen Herrera, brothers and sisters Manuel Negrete, Pedro Negrete, Micaela Negrete, and Guadalupe Negrete.
She enjoyed gardening, birds, and cooking for all of her family. She was also actively involved in the Catholic Church.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a recitation of the Rosary starting at 6:00 pm. Mass will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech Street, Baytown, Texas 77520 at 11:00 am, followed by the graveside service at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
