So sorry to learn of Margaret's death. What a shock, I had no idea she had been sick.guess the last time I talked to her was soon after Freida Huebner's death.Enjoyed visiting with her at the 2005 DP Reunion, and Curtis. We had lots of laughs together remembering our days in Lynchburg.

Ed Prokora, the ""Freunde des Gesanges"", and I send our condolences to Margaret's family. We fondly remember her cheerful participation in our activities and even dancing the Can Can. Last Friday, we sang ""Du, du liegst mir im Herzen"", in tribute to our friend. All of us will miss Margaret.

Margaret was a true friend.  She showed genuine love in so many ways, sometimes quietly without notice.  She was a strong woman who made a wonderful life for herself but never forgot her upbringing.  I had the good fortune to travel with her on many occasions.  Her interest in art, historical places and events was outstanding.  She was devoted to her Savior, Jesus Christ, her family and her friends.
     Margaret, you left us so   
     quickly.  We will miss you 
     very much!

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you. Although we haven’t  met, all of us have experienced the loss of a loved one. I am so sorry for your loss.  Please know that you are never alone.  Turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance and to help soothe your heart.  Psalms 34;18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit.  Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I had the privilege of working with Margaret for some 15 years when she worked at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR). She was a wonderful secretary and person. My wife and I will keep her in our prayers.

I met Margaret in 1971 when we worked together at Occidental. We became very close friends and were closer than sisters.We went dancing almost every night but she had to much energy for me. She loved to travel all over the world. I did get to travel with her a little and we attended a lot of the German functions together.  She was very good to take care of her mother and all of her family. She would help anybody in need. She did not have any enemies. Everybody loved Margaret who met her. She never did meet a stranger. I will really miss Margaret.  She always had so many funny stories to tell. She was very witty and knowledgeable. God Bless Her and her family.

I have wonderful memories of Aunt Margaret. She was fun, funny, energetic, & had a great appetite for life. 

Aunt Margaret was a music lover & she cultivated that interest & a love of travel in me.  

Family was the most important thing for her, and it wasn't reflected only by her words, but by her actions. 
She worked on her family genealogy and shared her information and passion with family.
She worked tirelessly to help take care of her parents & family members who needed help, especially her mother Marie. Her older sister Lillian, my mother, spoke frequently of her devotion to family.
When her German Society group took a field trip to Victoria, Aunt Margaret called me so she could meet her great nephew, my newborn son. Her thoughtfulness will always be remembered. 

I am happy for her that she is with the Lord,  my grandparents, and my precious mother Lillian now. May their reunion be joyful. We'll miss her until we are all reunited.

You were a wonderful loving Sister to me and the rest of our family. Your caring for Mom and Dad will be forever remembered. Now you are with them. I have fond memories of working with Margaret at Occidental and attending many of the HLC programs. She will be missed.  Grace and Peace to her family.

We enjoyed Margaret's humor and compassion and will miss her. We would like to have known her earlier. May God rest her soul.

We have lost a strong, amazing woman. My deepest condolences to the family.


Margaret was always looking out for the newcomer to any group she participated in.  And she looked out for the well-being of the Saengerbund, too, as long time Treasurer.  We will miss both aspects of her character.

Margaret was a wonderful, kind lady. Enjoyed singing with her in the Trinity Lutheran choir and being with her at all the choir functions.  She had a beautiful voice.  So energetic in her older years - wish I had all that energy! She will be missed very much.

Margaret was a really good friend to me. She really had a lot of gumption. I wish I could have known her longer. I will miss you.
