Linda Royder Sharp, age 64, of Baytown, passed away on May 26, 2021 from Alzheimer’s at her long term care facility in Alvin, TX. Born on August 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Murray Royder and Forrest Adair Royder Jr.
Linda was born in Houston, and grew up in Baytown, graduating from Ross S. Sterling HS in 1974. Early in her career she worked in Admin support and payroll. After raising two children, she returned to school to earn a B.S. in Health Information Management from Texas State University. She worked as a medical coder until faced with the challenge of early onset Alzheimer’s. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and reading fiction novels.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ronald “Ronnie” Paul Royder. She is survived by her siblings Forrest “Chip” Adair Royder III and Nancy “Susan” Royder Settles, her son Thomas Ashley Sharp and wife Lindsey, and their son Mason, daughter Kimberly Anne Sharp, and all those who cared for and lived with her at DESIRE to Live.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2021, with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. and lunch following. The family would like to thank Wanda Butler and the staff of DESIRE to Live for the excellent care they provided to Linda.
