Linda graduated from Leesville High School, Leesville, Louisiana in 1966 where she met James D. Lievsay. Linda and James married on December 16, 1966 and began their journey.
Linda began her working career with Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator, and worked her ensuing years with civil service, the private sector and retired from The City of Pasadena, Texas, City Secretary’s Office.
Linda enjoyed staying at home with our son Jimmy until he started the third grade. She enjoyed going to the beach with friends and Mother’s Day out at church.
During her working years Linda continually attended classes improving her business expertise at San Jacinto College.
Linda was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Pasadena, Texas and was a current member at Rollingbrook Fellowship in Baytown, Texas. She joined The Order of Eastern Star, Pasadena Chapter 711, was a member with Archives Chapter 1095, and a dual member with Cedar Bayou Chapter 11. She was Past Worthy Matron of Chapter 711 and Chapter 1095.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Ashby; step-father, Cliff Ashby; son, James B. Lievsay; and brother, Basil Ashby.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James D. Lievsay; daughter-in-law, Mandy Lievsay; granddaughters, Tracy Lievsay and Taylor Lievsay; sisters, Brenda Boone and husband Tommy, Debbie Phillips and husband William, and a host of cousins that were more like brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 12 - 1 pm, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.
