Leslie Ann Woodard Mays, 40, of Baytown and her infant son, Jeremiah, entered the gates of heaven together Monday, February 22, 2010 in a local hospital. Leslie was born June 22, 1969 in Orange and was a 1987 graduate of Deweyville High School. She graduated from Lee College with a degree in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling AAS. She attended First Baptist Church Mont Belvieu and was a nurse's assistant at Ross S. Sterling High School. Leslie always had a smile on her face. She was a very devoted and loving wife and mother. She loved and cherished her children as well as all of the students she worked with.
She is survived by her husband, Brent Mays of Baytown; children, Magan Mays of Mobile, AL and Cody Mays and Brady Mays, both of Baytown; parents, Huebert and Linda Woodard of Deweyville; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Marsha Woodard of Hankamer; sisters and brother-in-law, Kelly Woodard and Elizabeth and Dennis Phillips, all of Baytown; mother-in-law, Glenda Mays of Tyler; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael Mays and Chris and Melissa Mays, all of Tyler; and numerous loving nieces and nephews and friends.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Mont Belvieu, 10110 Eagle Dr., Mont Belvieu, TX 77580 with Rev. Jay Wash and Rev. Jake Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Elijah Mesa, Micah Phillips, Justin Miks, Ryan Batton, David Willis, Chris Mays, Michael Mays and Jason Weaver.
