Larry was a devoted father who was loved by his kids, grandkids, and everyone who knew him. He was kind and joyful. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. He was a family man who loved to travel and took his children and grandchildren on many road trips to State and National parks, to Disneyworld, and scuba diving in the Caribbean. He proudly worked at Exxon for 23 years and still maintains friendships with his former co-workers.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Pond and Doris Pond-Barringer; brother, Leon Pond and daughter, Dixie Lee Pond.
He is survived by his son, Jonas and his wife, Anne; grandchildren, Whitney, Taton, Logan, and Landon; good friend and mother of his children, Ellen Pond Cooper; beloved pets, Jake and Sierra, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Visitation on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. also at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, TX.
