Kristina Zavona Ward, 34, of Seabrook entered into eternal peace on Thursday, December 13, 2007. Kristi was born on March 6, 1973 to loving parents Roger “Johnny” and Karen McLean. Kristi was raised in Baytown where she became very creative and learned to fish, camp, and dance from her parents and many devoted family members. While attending Ross S Sterling High School, Kristi met Garett Ward and they dated until after graduation. Thereafter, Kristi’s sense of adventure took her to San Diego, California, where she graduated from Nursing School and began her successful career in Nursing. Then in August 2001, she got a call from Garett and before she knew it, she returned to Texas and they rekindled their love and married on March 1, 2003. On May 17, 2004 the family was completed with the birth of Tyler Garett Ward. Kristi said her wedding day and Tyler’s birth were the two happiest days of her life. She will be remembered as a beautiful woman with a kind soul and quick wit and also as a devoted wife, mother and daughter. Kristi will be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Garett Ward, and their son Tyler Garett Ward. She is also survived by her parents Roger “Johnny” and Karen McLean, her grandparents Rudolph “Bob” and Dorthy Knappick, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
