Kenny (Ken) was a WWII veteran, John Deere mechanic, tool and die maker, Plant manager at Laporte Plastics and worked in sales at Stove Parts Supply. He retired at the age of 72. Kenny enjoyed his flowers and gardening, horseback riding, also wood burning and carving, hunting and fishing. He was one of the first EMTs in the country, and he served as a volunteer firefighter for 37 years as the Fire Chief. Music was a huge part of Kenny's life. When he was on the stage playing music, he was doing what he love best, entertaining!
Kenny is survived by his loving wife of almost 79 years, Doris Colleen Babcock Peting; his sons, Dennis Peting (Drena), Craig Peting (Debbie); and his daughter, Kay Anderson (Keith). He was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge Ascend Hospice Care for taking such wonderful care of Kenny in his final days.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral service will follow and begin at 2 pm. Kenny will be laid to rest at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, Indiana.
