Joy Andrew “Drew” Staples, Jr., 62 of Baytown, passed away on Jan. 27, 2011. He was born in Baytown, on Jan. 13, 1949, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He went on and attended Abilene Christian College. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the First Infantry Division where he was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor. He retired from Exxon Company USA after 25+ years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Pat Staples.
He is survived by his brother, John Pat Staples.
