John Cape Echols

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Houston Echols, Jr. and Hazel Cape Echols and is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, John Houston Echols and wife Christy, Andrew Cape Echols, Hugh Alexander Echols and wife Joyce, all of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Echols Stewart and husband, Douglas W. Stewart of Baytown; and grandchildren, Caroline Cape Echols, John Gentry Echols, Hugh Houston Echols III, Stuart Cape Echols and Cape Evelyn Echols.

At his request, there will be no visitation and there will be a private family graveside service.

The Echols family would like to thank Dr. Robert Walmsley, Dr. Judy Shaw-Rice, Dr. William Irr, Dr. Cherem and the staff at St. Luke's hospital along with caregivers Patricia Ervin, Dewayne Davis, Teresa Criswell, Michelle Gary and Bessie Ector for their kindness.

In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the Sterling Municipal Library, M. E. Wilbanks Ave., Baytown, TX 77520.
