John Boutin, Jr., 73, of Dayton was born January 11, 1939 in Crowley, LA and passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, in a Baytown hospital. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Past Master of the Old River Masonic Lodge #1442. He was a member of the Baytown Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, and Kennedy Commandery and was a Golden Trowel recipient. He was a member of the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department and was the starter at the Royal Purple Raceway. He was a good storyteller and loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John B., Sr. and Elizabeth Boutin; son, John E. Boutin; and 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wayne Etta Boutin and daughter and son-in-law, Shawn Etta and Robert Rutherford, all of Dayton; special friend, Mark Roesler of Pearland; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his dog, Coco; and many friends.
At his request, he was cremated and a memorial service with Masonic rites will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Pastor Dave McLennen and pastor Ted Jones officiating
