Joellen Hightower, 70, of Baytown, went to be with our Lord on Friday, June 14, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. Joellen had a musical talent of both singing and playing the piano which she did for many years for the glory of her God. As a Sunday School teacher, she had such a passion for leading the young people in her community.
In 2010 she married the love of her life, Don. She loved being a wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She seemed to have a talent to make anyone who knew her smile even if they didn’t want to.
She was proceeded in death by her Husband, Donald Hightower; parents, Bill and Mable Roark; daughters, Judy Lynn and Janet Layne; Son, Donald “Bo” Hightower Jr.; Brother, Bob Roark and Sister, Peggy Nicar.
She is survived by her children, Robert Statum, Joyce Marks, Tammy Roebuck, Suxiann Benson, and Chris Hightower; One sister, Wanda Miller, 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Joellen’s very special pallbearers include her son, Robert Statum, Son-in-law, Paul Roebuck, and grandchildren, Austin Harris, Miranda Martinez, Raegan Roebuck, and Edgar Martinez.
She will be missed by all.
