Joan was a devoted wife and mother from the time she was 19 years old traveling all over the Unites States following the construction jobs assigned to her husband. She was a “homeroom mother” for 30+ years and had a passion for bridge, golf and especially cooking for friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Patricia Davis. She is survived by her brother Mike and Sandy Grafe and sister Camile and Bill Rust; Her five children, Pat and Linda Estes, Maribeth and Wren Lindsey, Tere and Bill Schendel, Tony Estes, and Anne and Kevin Lowe: Six grandchildren, Kristeen and Nathan Craig, Kara and Chad Thibodeaux, Michael Wren Lindsey, Kristel and David Duran, Will and Dana Schendel, and Luke Lawler; 8 Great Grandchildren, Kylee, Christian, Carlos, Matthew, Mercedez, Mykee, Lily and Madison. She also had many nieces and nephews that were very dear to her. Frances Mixon is also included in our family as she was especially caring and always so full of love for Joan and her entire family.
She was a precious addition to the Estes family. We will never forget.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 am, Thursday, March 25, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 800 W. Baker Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
