Jessie worked for JC Penny as a sales clerk. She enjoyed gambling, playing 42, playing bingo, and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Rhodes; her children, Darryl “Blue” Burns, Corky Burns; and her infant daughter; granddaughter, Alison Rhodes; brother and sisters, Albert Byron Smith, Maggie Lou Smith Findley, Ruby Lenora Smith-Findley, and Dorothy Mae Smith Troxel.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Smith and husband Kent; 3 granddaughters, Hannah Gayle Tillman-Dutton, Misty Crawford, and Mickie Rumsey; and daughter-in-law, Susie Burns.
She also has 3 great-grandchildren, Gage Crawford, Avery Crawford and Rayna Gayle Crawford.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Glenwood Cemetery, Crockett, Texas.
