Jeanne Peel, 81, of Baytown, TX, passed away after a long battle with bladder cancer. She was a life-long resident of Baytown. She was a second mother to her younger sister and nieces and nephews. She touched everyone she knew and made them a better person for having known her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, R.E. Peel; two brothers, Robert Akin, Jr. and Jack Wallace Akin, MD; two sisters, Lucille Beal and Juanita McCann.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Ellis and husband John and Tondra Costlow and son-in-law, Brent Costlow; sisters, Bobbie Beal and Patty Kovar and husband Dub; sister-in-law, Dorothy Peel; four grandchildren, John Dickens, Jr., Chelsea Morris, Kaden Costlow and Rylan Costlow; three great grandchildren, Reagan and Kaul Morris and Isaac Dickens, as well as numerous nieces nephews and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.
