Henry Holland

Mr. Holland had lived in Baytown for the last 57 years, was a retired lab technician from Exxon after 35 years of service, a member of Grace United Methodist Church, had attended Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, was a member of the Wagon Wheel Square Dancers Association and Exxon Annuitants.

Henry was a World War II Army veteran, having served faithfully in the 82nd Airborne and was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, LeDoris Walker Holland and brothers, Fred D. Holland, Edgar Mack Holland and Tallie Ellis Holland, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ellis Holland of Baytown; son, Russell H. Holland of Houston; daughters, Cynthia H. Taylor and her husband David of Fallon, Nevada, Jennifer H. Cook of Daisetta and Cecelia H. Ricketson and her husband James of Baytown; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
