Heather Marie Ballard, 41, of Cleveland Texas, passed away May 1, 2021. She was born in Baytown, Texas on December 20, 1979 to Claud Royce Smith and Margaret Crow Huggins. She was married to Rufus Ballard IV.
She attended Robert E. Lee High School of Baytown, Texas and was in 4H and FFA. Heather loved animals, especially her service dog Ice. She also enjoyed music and dancing.
She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Crow Huggins, father Claud Royce Smith and her daughter Shelby Leigh Crow.
Heather is survived by her husband, Rufus Ballard IV; grandmothers, Georgie Crow of Baytown, Texas and Ruby Rhames of Cleveland, Texas; brother, Claud Royce “Bucky” Smith, Jr. and wife Carla of La Porte, Texas; sisters, Callie Huggins of Cove, Texas and Casey Huggins of Old River, Texas; step-brother, Russel Flint; step-sister, May Huggins; step-father, Troy Huggins of Cleveland, Texas; her special friend and service dog Ice as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home from 10am to 11am. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11am at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd. Baytown, Texas 77521. Interment will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd. Baytown, Texas 77521.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be Tye Cline, Caleb Smith, Christian Colon, Michael Ballard, Jr., Bucky Smith and Brandon Johnson. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Daryl Germany, Lonnie Truett and Logan Howser.
