Hattie was a housewife and employed by Baycoast, Gulf Coast Hospital and Sears. She volunteered at the Senior Citizen Center in Baytown, Texas. Hattie was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown, Texas. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies were crocheting and working in the yard.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Viles and James “Sonny” Ryan; her parents, Johnnie and Hattie Hajek; and granddaughter, Melissa Clement Gill.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda “Micki” Brown, Carl Jane “Bitse” “CJ” Wick and husband Art, and Tammie Hoffeld; her grandchildren, Monica Brooks, Reed Brooks II, Michele Cappi, Brian Wick, Josh Hoffeld and Brandon Hoffeld; nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Monday, August 7, 2023, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521, with a Rosary/Vigil to begin at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1907 Caroline Ave., Baytown, Texas 77520. Interment will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery, in Baytown, Texas. Pallbearers: Reed Brooks II, Brian Wick, Josh Hoffeld, Brandon Hoffeld, Ted Hoffeld, and Paul Warfield.
