Harold Ray Crockett

Harold R. Crockett, 69, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 in a local hospital. Harold was born September 24, 1939 in the Goose Creek Community. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Musette Alice Dykes Crockett and a wife Sharon Crockett. Harold later married Claudia ""Cookie"" Spitler, December 31, 1999.

He is survived by his wife Claudia of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Rudonna Williams and husband Dale of Sheppard; son, Jawn Crockett of Liberty; step-children David Vanover of Huffman, Vickie Vanover of Stafford and Tammi Dixon and husband Woody of Houston; brother, James Crockett of Baytown and a sister Deloris Burgess of Baytown; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Harold worked 35 years for Brown and Root as an electrician. He loved to do wood working and was active in Special Olympics and was of the Baptist faith.

Pallbearers will be Gordon Swaim, David Vanover, Woody Dixon, Hank DeBruhl, James Crockett, and Johnny Taylor.

Visitation will be Friday, December 12, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, TX, with Rev. Ken Goodell officiating.
