Gary Allen Young

Gary was born to Allen and Irene Young, on January 26th, 1953, in Wallis, Texas. He graduated from Victoria High School in 1971 and received a Certification in Diesel and Heavy Truck Mechanics from the Texas State Technical Institute in 1972. He married Ina in 1972, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised two daughters.

He is survived by wife, Ina Young, daughter Amy Howard and son-in-law Buddy, daughter Kendall Hernandez and son-in-law Eric. He also leaves to cherish his memory, sister Janice Cheatham and husband Robert, grandchildren Paxton Howard, Adyson Turner, and Hudson Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by son, Ryan Jordan Young, parents Allen and Irene Young, and sister, Peggy Fishbeck.

Gary worked as a diesel mechanic for over 50 years working at multiple companies. He spent the last 28 years of employment working for Stewart and Stevenson. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his family. He was also actively involved in South Belt Church.

Services will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, located at 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. Please join the family for visitation on Saturday, January 21st, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. and a chapel ceremony at 1:00 p.m. with his pastor, Kevin Rizer, officiating.
