Evelyn Bradbury

Evelyn Mitchell Bradbury was born May 5, 1935 in Kossee Tx and passed away on December 12, 2024 in Baytown Tx. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband of 64 years , Bill Bradbury and her parents James Wesley Mitchell and Ila Lambright, her brother Wayne Mitchell and grandson Tony Evans.

Above all in her life was her love for her savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith came first in every thing she did and it was obvious in the way she lived her life.

Evelyn grew up in Baytown, Tx and was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and a Lee Brigadier. She worked for Southern Newspapers as an executive secretary to Fred Hartman for many years and later retired from Exxon. She loved her family and spent many hours hosting events. She was a member of many quilting guilds and enjoyed attending the red hat society, traveling and quilting.

She will be fondly remembered for the many beautiful holiday memories she created for her family and for the exquisite quilts she made and gifted.

She is survived by her two daughters and son in laws, Ronda and Jim Brewer, and Karen and Jimmy Evans. Grandchildren: Gabe and Amber Hawthorne, Matthew and Lily Brewer, Eric and Megan Brewer, and Todd and Donnie Evans. Great grandchildren: Hayden and Hailey Hawthorne, Cami, Emi, Kayce, and Charleigh Brewer, Baylor Clance and Tyler, Justin, Brandon, Megan, Payton, Shy’Anne Evans, and Zoe Evans. Sister-in-law: Johny and husband Bob Sorensen and their three sons. Brother: Buddy Mitchell and family. Dedicated Sister-in-law: Beverly Mitchell and family.

Visitation will be held from 12 - 12:30 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Memorial Baptist Church Chapel, 600 W. Sterling Ave, Baytown, Texas 77520. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm. Committal will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521.
