Ellen A. Carroll

Ellen A. Carroll, 84, of Baytown, TX was born August 28, 1923 in Springfield, MO and passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in a Baytown healthcare facility. She was of the Methodist faith and was an avid reader and sports enthusiast.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Carroll; parents, George & Mabel Langston Mann; sister, Marion Bradford; and brother, Alfred Mann. She is survived by her sister, Martha Kemble and husband “Sonny” of Dallas, TX, sister-in-Law, Carolyn Doggett and husband Maran of San Diego, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce Carroll and wife Joan of Deer Park, TX; daughters & sons-in-law, Bobbie Detmar and husband David of League City, TX and Jo Snell and husband Nick of Mont Belvieu, TX; grandchildren, Catherine Stephens, Keith Stephens and wife Lisa, Mickey Carroll and wife Tanya, Courtney Carroll, and Shasta & Austin Snell; and great grandchildren, Kenedi and Autumn Carroll.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at Laurel Land Funeral Home Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Laurel Land Cemetery.
