Elisa Lerma

Elisa J. Lerma, 82, of Baytown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. Her greatest treasure was her family, and she was loved by many. She welcomed everyone with open arms and made everyone feel like a part of the family. She loved making quilts for family and friends and has left a quilt legacy for many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rafael I. Lerma, Sr.; son, Martin Lerma; one brother and five sisters.

She is survived by six daughters, Elizabeth Garcia and husband Alfonso, Grace Trevino and husband Amador, Josy Diaz DeLeon, Eunesi De La Garza, Elisa Smith and husband Keith, Zulema Villegas and husband Baldemar; son, Rafael I. Lerma, Jr. and wife Gracie; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1124 Beech Street, Baytown. Interment will follow at Cedar Crest Cemetery.
