Dorothy Mickels

Dorothy Ann Elizabeth Mickels, 96, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 30, 1928, to the late Thomas August and Elsie Clara Bergner. She married the love of her life Dale Mickels in 1951.

Dorothy loved reading, sewing, and being outdoors on a sunny day. She enjoyed painting many of Dale’s wooden masterpieces and cruising Truman Lake with Dale in his bass boat. The highlight of her later years was getting to know her great-grandchildren after moving to Texas.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dale of 64 years; her parents; her siblings Delvin, Wilma and Gilbert; and great-granddaughter Isabella Delgado. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children Debbie Grimes and husband George, Diane Mickels, Denise Davis, and James Mancinnotti; her grandchildren Jarrod Knopfel and wife Jennefer, Stefanie Harris and husband Curtis, Brian Riener and wife Jasmine, Stacie Riener, Kendra Davis, Cambria Davis, and Marcus Davis; her great-grandchildren Haldrin, Emmalyn, Katelyn, and Ava; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
