Dorothy Neal Hamil

Dorothy Neal Hamil, 86, of Houston, formerly Baytown was born July 2, 1926 in Chester, TX and passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She retired from Lee College and was a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church in Baytown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton ""T. C."" and Elizabeth ""Berie"" Neal and husband, Douglas Hamil. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Chris Stueck of Houston; son, Neal D. Hamil of New York City, NY; grandchildren, Sarah Stueck and fiancé, Aaron Solis of Houston and Mark Stueck and fiancé, Danielle Yinger of Chicago, IL; great grandson, Miles Stueck; and special caregivers, Jackie Watters and Donna Watters.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Memorial Baptist Church Chapel, 600 W. Sterling Ave., Baytown, TX 77520 with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Midway Cemetery between Livingston and Woodville in Polk County at 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the Renovation Fund at Memorial Baptist Church.
