Dorothy Alexander

Dorothy Alexander, 92, of Baytown, was born April 2, 1926, to Charlie and Annie Provasek in Buckholts, Texas and went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 23, 2018. She retired from ExxonMobil Chemical Company with more than 25 years of service. She enjoyed going on trips to the casinos; slot machines were her favorite. She will be remembered most for her kindness and love for others.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; and husbands, Rudolph Tyroch and John Alexander, Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Payne and Rhonda Massengale and husband, Donnie; stepchildren, John Alexander, Jr. and wife Deborah, George Alexander and wife Rita, Mark Steven Alexander and friend Vickie Harrison, and Mary Beth Obermeier and husband Tom; grandchildren, Justin Massengale and significant other Bridgette Woodruff, Allison Payne, Jacob Massengale, Laura Payne, Georgeanne Ratliff and husband Marlon, Mark Alexander and wife Anna, John Alexander, III and wife Lori, Blake Alexander and wife Kelly, Candice Boyle and husband Kenneth, Lauren Travis and husband Neil, Chris Obermeier and wife Elizabeth, and Donielle Cook and husband Kevin; eleven great grandchildren; and she is also survived by her loving companion, Milton Lorenz.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, April 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Jirrels officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Massengale, Jacob Massengale, Donnie Massengale, Tom Obermeier, Mark Alexander, and John Alexander, III. Honorary pallbearers are John Alexander, Jr., George Alexander and Steven Alexander.

Her family would like to extend their sincere thanks to her caregivers Margaret Ware, Melanie Johnson, and Maria Castello.
