Doris June ""Judy"" McNulty Whitehead, born Sept. 4, 1931 in Wills Point, TX, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 in Baytown, TX. Visitation, with service immediately following, will be held at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015.
Judy relocated from Dallas to Baytown, TX in 1947. She met and married James William McNulty, who was employed with Humble Oil & Refining Co. (ExxonMobil). After Jay's passing in 1993, Judy remarried in 2000 to Arthur Gay Whitehead thereby melding two Baytown life-long-friend families.
Judy became a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church in 1952 where she enjoyed many years of service in capacities as President of Sunday School, Girls Auxiliary Counselor, President of LAFF Club, and volunteered in the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church Food Pantry. Her favorite pastimes were spoiling grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling, gardening, and sewing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her husband of 46 years, James William McNulty. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 15 years, Arthur Gay Whitehead; daughter Cynthia McNulty Lucia and husband Michael of Orange, TX; son James Rickey McNulty and wife Carolyn of Baytown, TX; stepson Donald Gay Whitehead and wife Karen of Sherwood, ND; grandson Michael Lucia III and wife Anya of Dallas, TX; granddaughter Angela Lucia Howeth and husband Marc of Orange, TX; great grandchildren Mason Lynn Howeth, Margaret Rose Lucia, Michael Mitchell Lucia IV, Elaine June Lucia, and several loving step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church (of Baytown) Building Fund and to the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church Food Pantry.
